South Shore Magic and Confederation Bridge

5 Hours.   $475 A great way to explore the magic of the south shore of PEI, quaint villages, panoramic views of the coast line and farm land and a visit to the eight wonder of the world, our confederation bridge. You will begin with a drive through this historic city, the island's capital, before heading out along the south shore. On your way to our first stop, the Confederation Bridge, a 13 kilometer long (8 mile) span that links Prince Edward Island to mainland Canada and the province of New Brunswick, you will pass through beautiful villages along the West River and the Northumberland Strait and view some of the island's most beautiful scenery. This amazing bridge which was officially opened in 1997 at the cost of 1 billion dollars, is an incredible eight miles long, making it the longest crossing over ice-covered water in the world. You will be able to get up close to take some photographs while hearing about the history and stories behind the construction of this amazing feat. After leaving Borden-Carlton your next stop is the historic seaport village of Victoria-by-the Sea, a haven for artists, where you will be able to explore the village, along the tree-lined streets or take photographs of the picturesque lighthouse or visit the chocolate factory. Then it’s back to Charlottetown along the beautiful south shore
