Amazing PEI Experience

This comprehensive excursion is designed to showcase all that Prince Edward Island has to
offer incorporating best of the Island’s north shore the magic of the south shore and
Confederation Bridge to give the visitor an Amazing PEI Experience.
The tour begins with a historic exploration of Charlottetown landmarks and historical sites
including Great George Street National Historic District, and Province House, birthplace of
Confederation and seat of Prince Edward Island's provincial legislature since 1847.
A short drive through the countryside takes us to the beautiful north shore of PEI, where you
will see beautiful vistas including, lighthouses, red cliffs, sand dunes,
north shore beaches, mussel farms, and fishing villages. Ample stops
along the way at your leisure to explore PEI’s national park. This part of
the day includes a stop at historic Dalvay by the Sea, a national historic
site. No drive along the north shore would be complete without a visit to
the Dunes, an Island icon, with beautiful, quality, island crafts and an
incredible garden to explore.
Then it's onto a true gem, the harbor and beach at North Rustico. This
north shore Acadian fishing village was founded around 1790. Here you will be shown the
famous red sandy shore and learn more about the rich farming and fishing communities.
You will be able to see a working fishing village and learn about the lobster fishing industry
on PEI.
Then a scenic drive through the PEI National Park with it beautiful views and abundance of
wildlife (Island fox) a view of Cavendish Beach and the red cliffs and a photo stop only -
Green Gables House.
An optional visit of Green Gables House can be arranged if you wish, though admission fees
apply and additional time would be required.
The next stop is the PEI Preserve Company for a quick taste
of their world famous products and a tour of this old 1913
butter factory, now home to the world famous PEI Preserve
Company. Lunch will be available here at your own
expense. (We will make Reservations)
After lunch it’s off to the south shore and the Confederation Bridge.
This will be our next stop after a short cross-Island drive through the scenic countryside.
Here you will learn more about the island, as well as the history of the construction of the
eight-mile long Confederation Bridge, an incredible structure that opened in 1997 at the cost
of $1 billion. We’ll stop as well for some great photos. On your return to Charlottetown
explore the quaint fishing village of Victoria by the Sea; a favorite stop for many visitors, with
it quaint shops, fishing village and lighthouse. And, oh yes, try the homemade Island
chocolates.
Upon our return to the city we will travel past some of Charlottetown’s historic sites and its
beautiful waterfront.
